Liquid are through to the cs_summit 2 lower bracket final after defeating Torqued on two maps (16-14 on Mirage, 16-9 on Train).

The first series of the day kicked off on Liquid's map pick, Mirage, with Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken and Keith "⁠NAF⁠" Markovic clutching a 2v4 situation to secure their team's Terrorist pistol. The first gun round also went Liquid's way, but then Torqued responded really well in a force-buy.

That sparked an impressive run from Torqued, who won five straight rounds with a very tight defense. Then, Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella came up huge with crucial multi-kills in the next three rounds, paving the way for his team to bag a 7-5 lead.

Joshua "⁠steel⁠" Nissan's men picked up the subsequent round, but then a last-second kill from Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski denied Torqued from following it up, with Liquid closing out the half with a 9-6 lead.

In the second half, despite Torqued securing a chaotic CT pistol, Liquid immediately responded in the next round. Nevertheless, a great Deagle triple-kill from Kenneth "⁠koosta⁠" Suen in a post-plant situation put his team back in the game. 

nitr0 had a key performance in the series

That was the start of another great run from Torqued, who hit 14 rounds, but a late resurgence from Liquid saw them bag four rounds in a row en-route to a 16-14 finish. 

Braxton "⁠swag⁠" Pierce and co. began their map pick, Train, with a successful Terrorist pistol. Still, an exceptional Deagle ACE from Twistzz marked the beginning of a six-round streak from Liquid. The rest of the half was keenly-contested as rounds went back and forth, with Liquid securing a narrow 8-7 lead before switching to the Terrorist side. 

Lucas "⁠steel⁠" Lopes opened things up in the second half with a stunning ace that included a 1v3 clutch, setting his team up for an 11-7 lead. Liquid carried their momentum in the gun rounds, only allowing the CTs to get two rounds on the board before sealing a 16-9 success.
